Caleb Calhoun sending Celestial Mechanics (v7) on a hot summer day
Rachel Tucker working Slice (v1)
If LRC consisted of nothing but
the Main Area, it still might be one of the best boulderfields in the
southeast. Instead there are actually 84 areas, and hundreds of
beautiful sandstone climbs.
LRC is one of the most versatile
areas to climb in the southeast, due to iron rails running through many
of the sandstone boulders. It also boasts beautiful lines at almost
every difficulty level, so whether you climb v-easy, v-sick or are
somewhere in between, there is always something to inspire you here.
Access
to LRC, although far from perfect, is currently more than adequate, and
really quite impressive for being land owned by and lining a golf
course. The land-owner has simply asked that everyone climbing at
LRC fill out a waiver their first time to the area, and registers on
line each day before climbing here.
Access is limited to 35 climbers in 20 vehicles per day, but is rarely
an issue with the exception of weekends in the winter and the 2+ weeks
leading up to triple crown.
One
more thing; REGISTERING TO CLIMB AT LRC IS NOT A SUGGESTION!!!!! Don't
be a dumbass and risk screwing up access for the rest of us.
