extending out of sight, out of mind,
sub-consciously serving this universal deception:
            humanity

a disease we all suffer, driving us mad
    justifying our faults, our vices
running headlong after that defining virtue
            civilization

a disappointment at best, a failure perhaps
    basing our ethics on majority
a barren road with but one destination
            ownership
